Assessment and Academic Integrity
Academic integrity means being open and honest in your studies and assessments, taking particular care to acknowledge and attribute other peoples work and ideas . All work you produce must be your own, unless you have stated you have taken the information from someone else. Cheating and plagiarism, using other people’s ideas without acknowledging that you have used them, are serious offences. For more information refer to Learner Support Services https://studentservices.op.ac.nz/learning-support/academic-integrity/
From time to time, all of us experience events over which we may have little or no control. Some of these may affect your ability to attend an assessment or examination and/or to do your best in assessments. These critical circumstances might include: illness, bereavement, family crisis, or other unpredictable events. Therefore we have policies and processes in place to review your performance when you believe this has been impaired or where you have been unable to attend an assessment or examination because of circumstances beyond your control.
For more information please see the policy and procedural documents below or consult with your School/College office.
