Students address Technology Mediated Community Engagement: PAinT

PAinT was a 3rd Year project by Bachelor of Information Technology students Joshua Smith and Vincent Rijlaarsdam.

Their project addressed the idea of rapid prototyping development through 'Technology Mediated Community Engagement'. The goal was to raise awareness of community concerns through a series of workshops and Information Technology based installations.

The first trial of this concept was held at Otago Polytechnic in 2015, with the aim of raising awareness in the staff and student body around OP’s relationship with, and use of, energy. In the second semester Joshua and Vincent applied this process to a community issue for the DCC.
