We're organising the 3rd annual High Schools Game Jam from the 27 to the 28 May. Over the weekend, you will enjoy the unique experience of developing or designing a game and collaborating with game jammers in Tokyo, Japan.

Attention high-school gamers and game designers!
The 3rd annual Game Jam is here, be ready for May 20, 27 and 28. And this year comes with a twist! As we'll have the first Cross Pacific Game Jam.
High schoolers from Dunedin and Tokyo team up to build a game in just 48 hours. Mentors and teachers are on hand to help. It's an exciting opportunity for you to experience the world of game development.
Over the weekend, they will enjoy a unique experience developing or designing a game in teams or individually. And for the first time, you'll be able to collaborate with Game Jam participants on the other side of the world, Tokyo.
Pre-event introduction on Saturday 20 May
- 3 pm - 6 pm (JPT)
- 6 pm - 9 pm (NZT).
Game Jam dates and times:
Day 1 - Saturday 27 May
- New Zealand - 9 am - 9 pm (NZT)
- Japan 3 pm - 6 pm (JPT)
Day 2 - Sunday 28 May
- New Zealand - 11 am - 9 pm (NZT)
- Japan 8 am - 6 pm (JPT)
The High Schools Game Jam is excellent for those thinking about a career in Information Technology, game development or game designing and wants a taster of tertiary study in Dunedin.
