Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is an annual celebration for all New Zealanders to show their support for the Māori language, an official language of this country.
The theme for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is ‘Ake Ake Ake – A Forever Language’.
It represents the resilience, adaptability and endurance of the language.
Join us this Te Wiki o te reo Māori as we host a series of free celebratory events.
All are welcome.

Monday

Manu AuteJoin Kara Redmond for an interactive session where you will craft Manu Aute (traditional Māori kites). Manu Aute were historically flown during special occasions and festivals.

RarangaJoin Lucy Smith as she teaches you the traditional art of weaving with harakeke (flax). Bring a friend, or your colleagues and make some putiputi (flowers) to display in your space.
