Waka Whetū 2024
You are invited to Waka Whetū, a creative showcase celebrating Matariki by our third year communication design students.
Immerse yourself in the magic of Matariki and explore the meaning behind this special time of year in Waka Whetū, the latest exhibition from Otago Polytechnic.
Created by talented design students, with guidance from local rūnaka, Te Punaka Ōwheo and Tūhura Otago Museum, Waka Whetū uses a combination of short planetarium films and innovative installations to tell the enchanting stories of Matariki and explore Māori traditions.
