Graduation

We love to celebrate our student’s success, so graduation is a big deal and one that the whole organisation gets involved in. We typically have three graduation ceremonies throughout the year, in Dunedin (March and December) and Auckland (October).

Dunedin graduations

Dunedin graduations take place at the Dunedin Town Hall. To graduate either in person or in absentia at one of the ceremonies listed below, you must register via the Student Hub - find more information here about registering to graduate.

Graduation ceremonies are so much fun. There are normally pre-grad celebrations that take place on campus, with your classmates and lecturers. Followed by the iconic street parade, down George Street in procession behind the town piping band. It’s a special moment and one your whānau can enjoy too. The street parade ends at the Town Hall, where you are invited onto stage to receive your certificate and formal recognition of your achievement.

To graduate, you must come in academic regalia, which you hire from us. Each qualification and school has its own hood and sash colour! We encourage our students to come to graduation as it is such a great opportunity to celebrate.
