Graduation ceremonies are so much fun. There are normally pre-grad celebrations that take place on campus, with your classmates and lecturers. Followed by the iconic street parade, in procession behind the town piping band. It’s a special moment and one your whānau can enjoy too. The street parade ends at the Town Hall, where you are invited onto stage to receive formal recognition of your achievement.
To graduate, you must come in academic regalia, which you hire from us. Each qualification and school has its own hood and sash colour! We encourage our students to come to graduation as it is such a great opportunity to celebrate.
If you’re an international student who studied at our Auckland International Campus (AIC), find out all you need to know about the next graduation ceremony here.
Students based in Hamilton, studying Occupational Therapy with Otago Polytechnic and Wintec can graduate at the Wintec Graduation Ceremony at Claudelands.
OP graduates attending a Wintec ceremony register in the same way as other OP graduates.
Staff at Wintec will be in contact closer to the ceremony regarding guest tickets and specific arrangements.
