Learn how to be creative using digital tools. Build the skills and portfolio you need to apply for a diploma or degree-level programme. For the Communication Design pathway, you'll explore graphic design, digital photography, web design, digital illustration, animation and interactivity. And you'll complete a research project about symbols, motifs and markings and how they connect with cultural identity.

New Zealand Certificate in Fashion (Level 4)

Prepare for junior roles in the fashion industry assisting with design, styling, retail/merchandising, basic garment construction or for further study in fashion. New Zealand Certificate in Creativity (Level 4)

Begin to build the skills and degree-level portfolio you need to apply for our Bachelor of Design (Product) or Bachelor of Visual Arts, or to prepare for junior level roles in the creative industries. This programme is a great option for learners who complete the six-month New Zealand Certificate in Arts and Design (Level 4) which begins in February and wish to pursue further creative study in art and design starting in July.

If you meet the entry requirements, you can enter directly into Level 4, without needing to complete Level 3. This Level 4 programme includes 115 hours of work placements. You'll learn how to be an inclusive educator, promoting diversity and the place of Māori as tangata whenua. This programme can also act as a pathway into higher level learning, leading to a teaching qualification.

Health Pathways

Health Bridging Certificate (Level 4 only)

This Level 4 programme is the second part of our health bridging pathway for those that don't yet meet the entry requirements for our diploma- or degree-level health programmes. To enter directly into Level 4, you need to hold a New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3) (our Level 3 Health Bridging certificate), or equivalent. If you don't hold that qualification, you'll need to do the Level 3 and Level 4 programme which starts in February.

Occupational Therapy

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Working with people is at the very heart of this highly-regarded programme and you'll do five placements across a wide range of community health and rehabilitation settings to gain vital practice experience. When you graduate, you'll be able to register as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand - this degree is also recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Study part-time in July.

New Zealand Certificate in Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying (Level 3)

Gain work-ready skills with this pre-apprenticeship qualification. As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn to perform basic tasks under supervision through our on-the-job simulations.
