Central Otago campuses
Learn beyond the classroom at our regional campuses in Cromwell and Wānaka. With qualifications tailored to make the most of this unique location, you'll get adventure, lifestyle, landscapes and skills when you study in Central Otago.
Central Otago is as much home to the relaxed, the laid back, the outdoor adventurers and the foodies as it is to the innovators, collaborators and entrepreneurs – which is exactly what makes Central Otago the perfect place to study.
We have two campuses in Central Otago, both of which offer subjects unique to the landscape. Our Cromwell campus is where you'll find a majority of our programmes and students. Our Wānaka campus is home to our outdoors and snowsports programmes and is also a satellite location for our midwifery students.
No matter which campus you study at, you'll get a unique student experience in one of the most beautiful regions of New Zealand.
Cromwell campus
Programmes offered in Central Otago are tailored to the location and needs of local industries. You can study cookery using local farm-fresh ingredients. Or take advantage of our working vineyard to find your career in the wine industry. With the only high-country farming programme in New Zealand, you can benefit from the knowledge and experience of the local farming community.
Study spaces and specialised facilities
While studying here, make the most of our extensive facilities. High country farming students can use the land to their advantage. Horticulture students can learn from the orchards and new horticulture facilities, and students get hands-on inside the purpose-built trades building.
Common rooms on campus are a great social hub to catch up with friends over a coffee, or to just take some time out of a busy day of classes. There is free WiFi available across campus and IT support for all our students.
Connect with real world experience
Our students work on real projects in real workplaces – and our connections with local businesses mean there’s plenty of work experience available. You might find yourself working on an orchard or managing a sports turf as part of your studies.
With a campus like this, you're never just another learner. We're available to guide you through a programme start to finish, answer your questions and help you find work in the industry.
