If you're an international student applying to study at our Auckland International Campus (AIC), we have a range of scholarships on offer.

Master Scholarships

Our Master Scholarships provide a $7,000 discount for the Master of Applied Management. Students from the countries most severely impacted by Covid-19 are entitled to a further discount of $2,100 for the Master of Applied Management for our July intake only. Our Postgraduate Diploma Scholarships provide a $5,000 discount for our postgraduate diploma programmes. Bachelor Scholarships

Our Bachelor Scholarships provide a $5,000 discount for our bachelor's degree programmes. To receive a scholarship in your second and third year, current Bachelor students must achieve at least a B average in the previous year.

Our Diploma Scholarships provide a $4,000 discount for our New Zealand diploma programmes. To receive a scholarship in your second year, current diploma students must achieve at least a B average in their first year.

Terms & Conditions

  • These scholarships are available to new international students who apply and provide all supporting documents before 7 October 2022 to begin their study at our Auckland International Campus at either our July or October 2022 intake.
  • Our additional scholarships for students from the countries most severely impacted by Covid-19 are only applicable for our July 2022 intake.
  • To receive a scholarship in their second year, New Zealand Diploma students must achieve at least a B average in their first year.
  • To receive a scholarship in their second and third year, Bachelor students must achieve at least a B average in the previous year.
  • Students (or agents on behalf of students) must apply online for a programme.
  • Students must meet all entry requirements for the programme.
  • Subject to programme availability.
  • Subject to class capacity. For the Auckland campus our minimum cohort size is 14, except for our Bachelor of Information Technology which as a minimum cohort size of 10. If the minimum class size not achieved, the scholarship will be rolled over to the next intake. 
  • For students with RPL, scholarship amount will be applicable pro-rata to remaining courses.
  • Scholarships can be combined for pathway programmes. e.g – NZCEL (L5) $ 2,000 + PGDAM $ 5,000 = $ 7,000 scholarship.
  • Concurrent certificates are eligible for a further $2,000 scholarship.
  • Students cannot receive both a Covid-19 Relief Scholarship and an alumni discount. In cases where students are eligible for both, the higher discount amount will apply.
  • Our Certificate Scholarships only apply to programmes studied on campus. Please see our programme pages for online fees for certificates.
  • Otago Polytechnic reserves the right to alter or withdraw these scholarships at any time.
  • Competency-based courses with a PASS or FAIL grade are not included in grade calculations.
