This section provides the latest OP Covid-19 updates, information and advice. You can also find links to relevant and useful websites in the right hand menu.

New Zealand moved to the Covid-19 Protection Framework from Friday 3 December (also known as the “traffic light system”). You can read about the Framework on the COVID-19 website and download this handy one-pager here.

Under the Framework, tertiary providers can:

  • Be open under the Green setting.
  • Be open with public health measures in place under the Orange setting.
  • Be open to those who are fully-vaccinated under the Red setting.

At present you need to continue to scan in /sign in, wear a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you’re unwell.

You’ll also need to use a My Vaccine Pass to access the following on campus services: hospitality venues; beauty, health and hairdressing teaching clinics; and our teaching gym.

If you are attending an event on campus, you’ll need to show your My Vaccine Pass. If you’re running an event, you’ll need to ask your attendees to show their My Vaccine Pass. Find more info about events here (including a suggested message you can use to send to attendees).

From 1 February 2022, we require all tauira (learners), staff (kaimahi), contractors and visitors to have a valid Vaccine Pass to enter any Otago Polytechnic site.  You can read our full Ko Kā Tikaka Mate Korona / Covid-19 Vaccination Policy here.
