English language requirements
Learn about the level of English you need to study at Otago Polytechnic. If you do not meet the requirements, you can start with one of our English language courses.
Our programmes are taught in English. The English language entry requirements make sure that you have the speaking, reading and writing abilities to understand your classes and do well on your assignments.
Each programme has a different minimum language requirement, so make sure to check the entry requirements on the programme page for the qualification you want to study.
