New Zealand Certificate in Brewing (Level 4)

This programme will teach you the skills and knowledge required to work as a brewer in a commercial brewing operation under broad supervision. You will be immersed in a practical learning experience: the brewing process, technical brewing plans, production processes and volumes. You will brew your own beers including pilsner, ale, lager, and other craft styles.

  • Learners who will be aged under 18 during activities that require the tasting of alcohol will not be allowed to participate in this activity without first producing a signed guardian consent form.

Application

A change for 2023 enrolments

When you apply to study with Otago Polytechnic in 2023, you will be enrolled with Te Pūkenga, the new national network of vocational and applied education in Aotearoa New Zealand. You will learn in the same way, in the same place, and with the same people, and you will graduate with a Te Pūkenga qualification.
