About the course

Are you a mechanic who wants to become a WOF inspector?

This new course is designed to train staff to carry out the vehicle inspection process correctly and to gain a firm grasp of the inspection requirements. Participants will also learn how to navigate their way around the NZTA Vehicle Inspection Requirements Manual (VIRM).

With 50/50 theory and practical, this course will prepare you for the inspector exam, including a mock exam paper.

Upon successful completion, you will receive an Otago Polytechnic Certificate of Attendance.

Please note: there are additional requirements to become a vehicle inspector. You will need to refer to the NZTA Vehicle Inspection Requirements Manual (VIRM) for full details on the eligibility criteria for vehicle inspectors.
