About the course
Are you a mechanic who wants to become a WOF inspector?
This new course is designed to train staff to carry out the vehicle inspection process correctly and to gain a firm grasp of the inspection requirements. Participants will also learn how to navigate their way around the NZTA Vehicle Inspection Requirements Manual (VIRM).
With 50/50 theory and practical, this course will prepare you for the inspector exam, including a mock exam paper.
Upon successful completion, you will receive an Otago Polytechnic Certificate of Attendance.
Please note: there are additional requirements to become a vehicle inspector. You will need to refer to the NZTA Vehicle Inspection Requirements Manual (VIRM) for full details on the eligibility criteria for vehicle inspectors. Completing the Otago Polytechnic training course does not guarantee an individual will be approved by NZTA.
