Plant Nurseries
When you study horticulture with us you will be learning in one of the best practical horticulture units in New Zealand.
Our facilities are second to none.
Our horticulture students gain hands on experience at sites right across our campus and play an integral part in the propagation and growing of the plants for our nursery.
Our nursery is open between Labour weekend until the end of November and reopens from March – May and is open each Wednesday between 10am – 2pm - when the flags are out the nursery is open!
We have a wide selection of plants for sale based on the season, including vegetables, herbs, flower punnets, natives, unusual trees and tussocks. Our plants are grown locally for local conditions.
Our annual Labour Weekend plant sale is has become a must-do on the local events calendar.
