Our Student Liaison Advisors are here to help you find the study option that's right for you. They're also happy to chat about life at Otago Polytechnic or to answer any questions you might have.

They visit secondary schools in the first and third term of each year and can be found at career expos throughout the country.

Taster days

Get a taste of what it’s like to be a student on campus! We run a variety of taster days throughout the year designed to provide our future students with a better understanding of what it's like to study at Otago Polytechnic.

We can often also arrange for you to sit in on a class and meet one-to-one with a lecturer, providing an opportunity to experience Otago Polytechnic in a way that is tailored to your interests. So come and see if our modern learning environment is the right choice for you.

Campus tours

Otago Polytechnic operates tours of the Dunedin, Central Otago and Auckland Campuses upon request.

Tours start with a warm welcome from an Otago Polytechnic representative, followed by a walk around campus, a visit to the schools, classrooms and some of our impressive facilities. The tour takes approximately one hour.

When booking, please specify the area of study you are interested in; this will enable us to customise your tour.

Open days

The Dunedin tertiary institutions usually hold their annual Tertiary Open Day on the first Monday of May each year.

The Open Day is a great opportunity to visit our Dunedin campuses, attend talks from our academic schools, tour our impressive facilities, and visit the accommodation. There will be fun, interactive sessions going on throughout the day, so come along and find out why Dunedin is such a great place to study!

For more information on campus tours and open days, please email liaison@op.ac.nz

Central Otago

We also hold two Open Days at our Central Campus in January and November each year, so you can check out the facilities and see what studying in Central would be like.
