Dunedin Tertiary Open Day 

The Dunedin tertiary institutions will be holding their annual Tertiary Open Day on Monday 8 May 2017.

This Open Day is a great opportunity to visit our Dunedin campuses, attend talks from our academic schools, tour our impressive facilities, and visit the residential colleges. There will be fun, interactive sessions going on throughout the day, so come along and find out why Dunedin is such a great place to study!

Our Student Liaison Advisors provide course advice and campus tours for anyone considering study at Otago Polytechnic. 

They also visit secondary schools in the first and third term of each year to talk about career pathways and can be found at career expos throughout the country.

Be a Student For a Day

Get a taste of what it’s like to be a student on campus! Student For a Day is an opportunity to visit our Dunedin campuses and spend time in a real classroom alongside current Otago Polytechnic students. This allows you to experience our programmes firsthand, which can help you to decide what to study.

Student For a Day options include:

  • Campus tour
  • Classroom time
  • Careers advice
  • Accommodation
  • Sports facilities

Whether you’ve got a couple of hours free or want to spend the whole day with us, we will do our best to provide a great experience for you! 


Campus tours  

Otago Polytechnic operates tours of the Dunedin, Central Otago and Auckland Campuses upon request.  

Tours start with a warm welcome from an Otago Polytechnic representative, followed by a walk around campus, a visit to the schools, classrooms and some of our impressive facilities. The tour takes approximately one hour.

When booking, please specify the area of study you are interested in; this will enable us to customise your tour.
