December 2021 Postponement Frequently Asked Questions
The December 2021 graduation ceremonies have been postponed to the second week of March 2022.
Otago Polytechnic will be holding three graduation ceremonies across two days that week – two on Thursday 10 March, and one on Friday 11 March.
Check the ceremony schedule on the important dates page to see whether your graduation ceremony is on Thursday 10 March or Friday 11 March.

While we get things in order we’d like you to do two things
- Check that your contact details are up to date in your Student Hub, as this will ensure you receive any email or text updates we send out.
- Have a think about whether you want to attend the replacement ceremony not.
We’re currently working hard behind the curtains to get things sorted for you. There are a lot of things we need to get ready for you, but rest assured we’ve got a team of professionals sorting out the technical and operational stuff right now.
We’ll be in touch in the next couple of weeks with what we need you to do.
Certificates and transcripts for the postponed December ceremonies will be printed in December as normal.
We will let you know when these are available, at which time you can choose to collect them from campus or have them sent to you.
Certificates will not be presented at the March ceremonies.
If you paid for your regalia hire via Eventbrite, please request a refund via Eventbrite.
If you paid for your regalia hire via another method please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request your refund. You will need to confirm your bank account details for us to process the refund.
If you are in this position, please let us know via email at email@example.com so we can arrange a time for you to collect your regalia.
If you hire regalia in December and also want to attend a ceremony in March you will need to pay a second fee for the additional hire.
