Weekdays: 8:00am–5:00pm (the Service Desk is fully staffed) - from 5.00pm to 8.00pm (the Service Desk is serviced by one staff member*)

Saturdays: Closed 

Sundays: 2:00pm–6:00pm (the Service Desk is serviced by one staff member*)

* Extended hours of IT Support are available from mid-February until the end of November each year. When the academic year ends our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm.

Otago Polytechnic Students' Association (OPSA) 

Students are the heart of Otago Polytechnic’s culture. As a student, it is vital you have an independent organisation to represent you and promote your views and interests.

OPSA provides a huge range of quality services and facilities to safeguard your welfare and ensure you have a successful study experience. OPSA is run by students, for students. It offers advice, assistance, representation, advocacy and student events, and will protect your rights so you can spend time focusing on your studies.

The Students’ Association manages a range of services including:

  • Cheap phone cards and DCC rubbish bags

  • Clubs and social sports.

Polykids Childcare Centre

Polykids Childcare Centre provides quality early childhood education and care for children up to five years of age. Spaces are limited and we strongly advise contacting Polykids when you apply for your programme of study.
