Study for FREE with the Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund
The government has announced a new Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) that supports anyone* to study/train for high-demand industries as New Zealand recovers from Covid-19.
The targeted areas include all the programmes listed below - and they'll be fully funded until December 2022.
Plus, if you enrol in, and complete, a TTAF programme for free, this doesn’t impact on your ability to then also use the Fees Free scheme for further study (as long as you meet the eligibility criteria).
What else do I need to know?
- Additional costs such as calculators, textbooks or protective footwear are not covered by this TTAF initiative (and neither are your living costs) so you may want to apply for a student loan or allowance to cover these costs.
