This foundation level programme is a great option if you want to re-engage with study and gain confidence and skills to enter the workforce. This programme offers you the chance to improve your study skills and prepare for higher level learning or employment. It includes either a general study context or a work context. Along with improving your reading, writing, presenting and computer skills, you will also gain valuable employability skills such as CV and interview preparation, and how to write a cover letter. Depending on the course you choose, this programme offers practical workshops and community volunteering opportunities.

Looking for a way to get some hands-on learning and increase your chances of getting a job? This programme, offered in partnership with the Malcam Trust, has a great mix of study and hands-on experience and will give you the skills you need to work in farming, agriculture, horticulture, conservation or other outdoor-related areas.

This short course will introduce those new to a supervisory role with foundation skills for success as a supervisor. Content includes understanding personality types, guiding and managing work tasks, and conflict management skills.

Bridging to art and design degrees

No matter what direction your creative career takes, you'll benefit from having the ability to learn and apply creative processes, methods and technologies in both art- and design-based studio projects. This programme is great preparation for further study in any creative programme. Successful completion of this Certificate will prepare you for application to the Bachelor of Design (Communication, Fashion or Product), Bachelor of Architectural Studies or the Bachelor of Visual Arts.

Bridging to beauty therapy certificate

Our graduates have a high employment rate and many are offered work during or after their fieldwork placements in the second semester.
