Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)

Group and exam preparation course

If you have an interest in project management and want to up-skill in this area, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a confident project manager, and the ability to sit an external exam to obtain CAPM® Certification.

CAPM Certification is a globally recognised entry-level qualification endorsed by the Project Management Institute, which will demonstrate your understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management.

  • It is preferable that you have some project experience.
  • Access to current version of the PMBOK® Guide (Edition 5).
  • Submission of an exam application to PMI International (assistance to complete this application will be given at introduction session). 
You will learn
  • The key concepts and tools from the PMI® PMBOK® Guide.
  • The five project management processes and how to apply them.
  • The ten bodies of knowledge and how to apply them.
Course outline

This course consists of six full days including a mock examination day:

  • Four days of group sessions familiarising yourself with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Two-day exam preparation session provides a review of what was covered in the group sessions and a mock exam. You will also receive exam tips and techniques.

This course will be taken by Roberta Lawrence - PMP and BAppMgt (Project Management). Roberta is a Project Management practitioner and lecturer. She has been active within the project management profession for 20 years as an employee, consultant, practitioner and trainer across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
