Learn how to create your own personalised fabrics for fashion and interiors.
During this practical workshop you will be introduced to textile print processes including screen printing using stencils, print techniques and colour. You will design an original textile print and produce samples and a final piece of resolved work.
Please note: This course is subject to sufficient numbers.
Entry requirements
- This short course is open to domestic students and international students (who are currently based in New Zealand).
- No previous skills/knowledge are required.
Materials
We will supply printing materials, inks and screens plus one metre of plain cotton fabric per person.
Please bring a drawing pad and pencil/pens, paper scissors, craft knife, a coverall to protect your clothes and any fabrics/garments/textile items you would like to print on to.
Tutor
This workshop will be run by Tracy Kennedy, Senior Lecturer and textile enthusiast at the School of Design.
