Horticulture workers assist in the design, production and maintenance of plants, gardens and landscapes for both local and international markets. Graduates can work as a gardens worker, retail nursery worker, in landscaping, groundskeeping and turf management, as an irrigation technician,or contracts manager and more.

Salaries vary depending on experience, location and job type, but full-time workers usually earn between $25,000 and $60,000 per year.

Sports Turf Management

Sports Turf graduates are in high demand and can work as greenkeepers and groundskeepers, managing and maintaining golf courses, cricket wickets, rugby, soccer and artificial turf.

Veterinary Nursing

Practitioners can work with small and large animals in a variety of different settings including veterinary practices, farms, zoos, kennels and catteries. Opportunities in the industry include working as a veterinary nurse, wildlife management, zoo keeper, animal breeder and more.

Sustainability

Graduates can embark on a farming career, look after lifestyle blocks, grow crops sustainably for supply products to farmers’ markets and much more.
