This programme allows international students to improve their English language skills and get hands-on experience working in either fruit production, dairy farming, or sheep and beef farming. You will receive the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2).

Want to learn more about beekeeping? Apiculture is one of New Zealand's fastest growing industries and there is a high demand for this skill. Graduates of this new programme will be able to work as an assistant beekeeper for commercial operators, as an independent beekeeper with a small number of beehives or even develop their own business. Successful completion of this programme will lead to the New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3).

Level 3 General and Amenity Horticulture

Do you want to enter the horticulture industry? This qualification will give you the work-ready skills needed to do just this in a range of sectors. Field trips and work experience are a key part of this programme. Graduates will receive both the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (General) (Level 3) and New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3) (Amenity).

Level 3 Nursery Production (industry-based)

Further develop the fundamental skills and knowledge required of horticulturists in the nursery sector while you work. This programme is for domestic students only and you must be working within the nursery industry. It provides the perfect opportunity for you to upksill via online learning whilst using your workplace as a setting to practice your developing skills. Successful graduates will receive the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3) (Nursery Production).

Level 3 High country farming

Farming careers are fun and rewarding and there is strong demand nationally for passionate people who want to work with livestock in the farming industry. This Central Otago-based qualification is the only farming training programme in New Zealand with a high country flavour. Graduates of this programme will receive both the New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Farming Systems) (Level 3) and New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Vehicles, Machinery and Infrastructure) (Level 3).

Level 3 and 4 Arboriculture

Work outdoors and enjoy a hands-on, physical job. Arborists are in demand for their ability to care for, and maintain, trees. This industry-standard qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills to carry out tree maintenance and management activities at heights including tree removal. Graduates of this programme will receive both the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3) (Arboriculture) and New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture Services (Level 4) (Arboriculture).
