Our practical programme uses a blend of online learning, practical block courses and clinical experience in our Massage Therapy Clinic to give you the skills you will need.

Our programme is highly regarded within the South Island massage industry and we enjoy an excellent relationship with Massage New Zealand (MNZ) as an NZQA-accredited training provider. MNZ is the only massage therapy specific membership body in New Zealand.

*subject to final approval
Please note: As long as you meet the specific entry requirements for that programme, you can enter all programmes directly, without having to follow a pathway. Successful completion of one programme does not necessarily guarantee you entry to a higher level qualification. Please check all entry requirements carefully on the programme information sheet.

  Health bridging certificate

If you don't have the academic qualifications required to enter our New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massgage (Level 5), this is the perfect bridging option. This year-long programme is replacing the Certificate in Health (Level 4) from February, 2018. It consists of two separate Certificate qualifications - the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3) and the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 4). You will be enrolled in both of these qualifications at the beginning of the year.

New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage (Level 5)

Learn about anatomy and physiology, relaxation and therapeutic massage, stress management and wellness promotion methods. Graduates may operate their own massage therapy business, or may find employment within the spa industry. Alternatively, you can progress into the second year of our Bachelor of Applied Science to expand your skill set and increase your employment options.
