Want to learn the art of great table service? Learn how to prepare dining and services areas, serve customers at the table and present yourself to a professional standard within a restaurant setting.

This STAR course is for high school students in years 11 – 13. Check out our STAR courses page for more information.

Note: These courses are run subject to minimum numbers enrolling.


What you'll learn

Unit 14434 - 3 credits: Prepare service areas and equipment; prepare customer dining areas; and clear dining and service areas, for a commercial hospitality establishment.

Unit 14436 - 4 credits: Present a menu and take orders from customers; serve customer orders at the table; and clear and maintain tables during service, for a commercial hospitality establishment.

Total: 7 credits at Level 2

This two-day course runs from 9.00am until 3:30pm both days
