If you meet the entry requirements, you can enter directly into Level 4, without needing to complete Level 3. This Level 4 programme includes 115 hours of work placements. You'll learn how to be an inclusive educator, promoting diversity and the place of Māori as tangata whenua. This programme can also act as a pathway into higher level learning, leading to a teaching qualification.

This programme is gives you the skills to provide education support in class. As well as assisting students, support work can span across health or the social services sectors assisting disadvantaged young people or those with disabilities. You will graduate from this programme with the full range of skills that these support roles need.

This qualification will provide you with a formal qualification tailored directly to teaching at tertiary level. You will be able to study in a way that suits your current schedule and responsibilities, and as a graduate, you will be able to design and facilitate inclusive learning in your tertiary cultural context. Experienced tertiary educators may wish to access the Independent Learning Pathway (ILP) pathway offered by Capable NZ - our assessment of prior learning centre.
