Electrical Trades
Study an Electrical Trade at Otago Polytechnic and gain the skills you need for a career as a qualified Electrician. You’ll be taught how to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and electrical or electronic equipment through our practical, real-world way of learning.
An electrical trades qualification from Otago Polytechnic will arm you with a solid understanding of safe electrical installation, testing commissioning and servicing of electrical equipment.
The best thing about Electrical Trades at Otago Polytechnic is our apprenticeship pathway. This allows you to work in the electrical industry as an employee under supervision as part of your studies. Upon completion, you’ll also have the option to pathway into an Engineering Technology qualification, which can take you in a different direction entirely.
